Teohna Williams was delighted to chair a public event at Chatham House, London, on 11 November 2019, entitled ‘Prospects for Peace and Stability in South Sudan’.
Teohna chaired a panel of speakers as they examined the status of the South Sudan peace deal, the issue of federalism and subdivision, measures needed to prevent the humanitarian crisis from worsening and opportunities to foster greater security and unity in the country.
Speakers included Alan Boswell, Senior Analyst for South Sudan, International Crisis Group, Miklos Gosztonyi, Conflict Analyst, South Sudan, Norwegian Refugee Council, Naomi Pendle, Research Fellow, Firoz Lalji Centre for Africa, London School of Economics, and Golda Abbé, Founding Member, Ghidam.
